In all honesty, it's not a bad film overall from what I remember. However, it's proof to show you why maybe you should leave a franchise alone after two great installments. This was a movie made more to make money and to also give Arnold's career a boost. For whatever negatives it has, I'm sure it has its positives. Just a shame that things didn't truly stop here for the Terminator series instead of back in 1991 when it should have stopped.

One of the first signs of trouble for the film:

I actually like " TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES". Because of the female Terminator, right?

My big complaint is the cheapness-lack of the blue steel cinematography. Once the Skynet attack happens--they really went cheap. Everything happens off screen. Then they fly off in a plane which felt so 1960s bottom of the drive-in double bill sci-fi. It makes sense they head for an isolated bunker but it wasn't very epic. The Arnie shows up in that helicopter..
Storywise though--I liked it. The one groaner was the "talk to the hand" in the store.
But other one liners worked.
"No, I am not shitting you."
"Levity relieves tension and awareness of death."

I actually like " TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES". Because of the female Terminator, right? and Arnold Schwarzenegger and Claire Danes. LOL, Heck I was even glad that they briefly brought back Dr. Silberman!

Has it really been 15 years ago? Oh man, it feels like yesterday my friends and I were all anticipating a third Terminator and finally during the summer of the original Pirates of the Caribbean, Finding Nemo, 2Fast2Furious and Bruce Almighty, our prayers were answered.
While the film isn't *terrible* and it has some well-done action sequences, it just feels like the same old stuff we'd seen in the previous films only with the terminator villain being a female. Not as utterly forgettable as Salvation or as incomprehensible as Genisys, but still could have done better.

I just hope your girlfriend Luv won't get jealous. LOL, Could you Imagine Her as a Terminator ? I think Luv is scarier than that female Terminator. I mean when I see that female Terminator, I see some hot chick trying to be a scary bad-ass. But with Luv, she has a look in her eyes that makes you feel like you wouldn't want to fuck around with her.

If you see a female Terminator running after you, you want to be saying "Jesus Christ! " instead of "Come to papa! ".

It's definitely underrated and is my 2nd favorite Terminator movie...
1)T1 - 9/10 (within my Top 26 movies) 2)T3 - 8/10 (within my Top 56 movies) 3)T5 - 6-6.5/10 (within my Top 237 movies) 4)T2 - 6/10 (while I mildly like this, it's no where near as good as it used to be for me) 5)T4 - 5/10 (Thumbs Down)
p.s. July 4th 2016 is my most recent viewing of Terminator 3.

It's a very good attempt, though in the end it lacks the gravitas required for the franchise.
Thinking about it now, it might've worked well broken down as a semi-canon tv series.

I still highly enjoy it and think it's easily the best of the post-T2 sequels. Yeah, it's goofy as hell, but what were you expecting from an unnecessary sequel? I also respect it for being more self-aware and the TX is awesome.

I still think the movie sucks, but at least it acknowledges that it isn't taking itself 100% seriously. Salvation and Gynysys or whatever actually thought they were clever takes on the Terminator franchise, which only made them that much worse.

I can appreciate Salvation and Genisys for being different, but then again, I don't get what they were going for with the dark angles they took, especially Salvation.
