I think I disagree with that. But that’s just me. I can’t account for why other people watch movies. Would you say for example watching Requiem for a Dream is an enjoyable experience? I’ve not actually seen that one. :/

I enjoyed Requiem for a Dream quite a bit. Great cast, stunning performances and an amazing soundtrack. I re-watched it a bunch in the early 2000s.

Those Amityville sequels need to stop! I actually watched 4-7 not too long ago. They weren’t that bad. But as for all those movies that simply take the Amityville name (post-2010) like THIS one. Oh god help us all.

James I love all the actual sequels to The Amityville Horror, but yeah, the trash that just adds Amityville looks really bad. I only ever watched one, The Amityville Haunting (2011), and it was scary how bad it was. Also, WTF is this:

Damn valid point. Perhaps alcoholics and other really closed minded anti drug types might enjoy it for the way it validates their opinion. Not sure how they could though. It's the largest budgeted Just Say No PSA of all time.

Cannibal Holocaust. I'm guessing it's already been mentioned, though.
Fuck animal cruelty.
Edit: I see it's pretty much the unanimous answer. For good reason.

I caught Requiem for a Dream once on tv and it was just weird especially near the end.
"Ass to ass!" "Mashed potatoes."
Don't do drugs.
Just don't do them.

I've seen my fair share of horror films... I'm not a fan of seeing actual animal cruelty on screen.
They literally threw a Monkey towards a Snake. And you see it staring at the Camera as it's devoured... For a movie. ("Slave of the Cannibal god" or something.) How many takes have they had to do for similar movies to get it just right?
F*k. That.
"Salo", "Irreversible", "Serbian film", and the original "Last House on the left" are movies I'd rather not watch again. Once was enough.

I have never been keen to rewatch Food of the Gods because they torture rats in some many ways--I remember them being held underwater at the end.

Yes, Food of the Gods is guilty of this as well. Though the scene with the giant "cock" will always make me chuckle.

It is hard hitting, but well mounted. I feel Illiad did a better job than Aja did with Hills Have Eyes. While "The last house on the left" reboot was still disturbing... I felt it was streamlined well. Also leaving out some goofy elements from the original that didn't work for me. (The bumbling Cops for one.)

To start off, the actual list would be far longer than just what I'm posting here.
Entire franchises:
I Know What You Did Last Summer Saw Hostel Human Centipede
Individual movies:
most remakes/reboots from the last 20 years torture porn
other than that, and I know there are more, but at the moment that's about all that comes to mind.
For the record, I have not seen Cannibal Holocaust...would not be opposed to watching it if the opportunity arose. Might feel differently after actually seeing it, but I'm curious about a movie that precedes the Blair Witch hype that the creators were actually arrested for murder, because they did such a convincing job making it look like a real snuff film, and had the PR foresight to have the stars kind of 'disappear'.

I didn't watch Requiem because I wanted to, I watched it because it was mandatory for a film course I took in college. I've rewatched a few clips once in a while but there's definitely no interest to see the movie again.

I refuse to watch a lot of modern crappy, filled with lame jump scares, PG-13, ghost movies.
Amen! I second that motion.
