Brazil - Belgium will be quite a match-up. I wanted Belgium to go through, but I also really feel bad for Japan. They were so close.

I haven't been so crushed by a defeat as a neutral since Cameroon lost to England in 1990.

Last time a team came back from two goals down to win a WC knockout match was Germany against England in 1970 - and they needed extra time.

Another good match. Hard lines to Japan. Carl, Any info on how many times 2 goal deficit with just 21 minutes has been overcome in knock out phase of world cup?

Literally every single match that hasn't involved England, the team that I've wanted to win has lost. Every single time without fail.

I was rooting for Belgium just because I didn't want to see this become a victory parade for Brazil. But I feel bad for Japan.
My wife seen that goal coming. Right after Courtois sent the ball down she said "uh oh..."

Courtois makes a good catch, rolls it out to the one guy you would hope is switched on, De Bruyne, a surging run up the middle drawing the Japanese full-back inside, a made to measure pass to the one guy, Meunier, who has been knocking great balls into the box all night and at last, Lukaku has a moment of inspiration, dummying the pass for the wide open Chadli to guide it into the net. What a goal to win a great match.
