So I’m at the beach today and I notice there’s a lot of people wearing American flag bathing suits. So just so I can keep track, it’s ok to wrap your sweaty balls and dirty ass in the flag, but Colin Kaepernick is the disrespectful one? Mmmkay.....

I'm no lawyer but I assume they mean you shouldn't wear something made out of an actual flag; it's ok to put the flag design on something.
