Any stats on which players make the most per minute?
I'd think some NBAers would be up there since salaries are high, there's only 15 players per team and most of the minutes go to 8-10 guys. There's gotta be guys on high end European soccer teams that get compensated well but don't see the field much.
Was thinking about this after the top free agent signings in both the NHL and NBA:
Tavares got $11 million/year. If he averages 20 minutes a game over an 82 game schedule it comes to $6,707.32/min.
James got $38.5 million/year. If he averages 36 minutes over 82 games that's $13,042.01/min.

this is an interesting topic.
there's got to be one analytical stat dork amongst us all.
i'd also love to see a salary broken down by a 'pitch count' - i.e. some of these relievers or closers whose sole purpose is to get 1 man out or close out the ninth.....

Ronaldo earned $180million last year.
La Liga is 38 games. If you estimate Champions League, etc... say 60 games?
At 90 minutes a game, that comes out at $33,333 a minute.

Since baseball isn't directly time based, salary/# of pitches while on the field would be the way to go. On the field would include all pitches as a pitcher/fielder + batter/runner.
