I STILL haven't decided which I LOVE (prefer) more...Star Wars (1977) OR The Empire Strikes Back (1980)?? The REST CAN BE THROWN into the GARBAGE...
DON'T CARE for the Lord of the Rings films.

Star Wars, but I love Lord of the Rings. They're probably my #1 and #2 favorite fictional "universes" of all time.

That's tough. While I did enjoy LOTR more, I think SW is the more accessible franchise with them being much shorter. I'll go with LOTR for now, even though I think ESB is the best of both combined.
Still need to see the new Disney Star Wars movies.

Lord of the Rings are in my personal opinion superior to Star Wars in every way possible.

Star Wars. LOTR was okay mainly because of Return of the King but those movies don't have much re-watchability.

You can include all the SW films and they don't come close to LOTR. The SW films don't even hold a candle to the Hobbit trilogy.

LOTR > SW EPS. 4-6 > SW EPS. 7-9 > HOBBIT 1-3 > SW EPS. 1-3
To be clear I liked everything until the godawful SW prequels.
LOTR is just a better looking and more cohesive story, but I could watch all of them except the godawful SW prequels over and over.

If I'm ignoring the ST, then definitely LOTR.

Lol and why can you ignore Disney Star Wars? Lucas willingly handed over his franchise, the story continues.
Anyway, Lord of the Rings. It's like asking between a fine Italian restaurant meal and McDonald's best hamburger. The latter is still tasty, but...
