I am pretty sure that I singlehandedly turned Captainbryce from a bible basher to a sensible agnostic atheist. I am now working on turning him straight! ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/vdndyf3x5/winkgrin.gif)

I haven't changed my mind about religion due to emotional reasons. Belief doesn't have to be anymore emotional than using a bunsen burner. It has more to do with the "rational" reasons presented hear routinely being prejudicial and retarded. We all know what you have changed your mind about. You have changed your mind about Lord Eddard Stark. That was based on emotion since it was disdain for how much of a loser he became but also based on knowledge since he became a loser once I got more information on his loser past.

it never goes anywhere. No questions are resolved and nobody ever changes their opinion. Sound and fury, signifying nothing. Signifying nothing was the old username of Bazarov_2. Are you Bazarov_2? ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/svo7b2k61/mjeyds.gif) You seem more jolly and slightly more plebeian than him though. ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/tek3suwt5/laugh.gif) How so?

Any idea of why the abrupt disappearance? I had him on block so it took me awhile to notice, but you are the first poster to bring it up. No indication at all. He even let another poster have the last word on a discussion thread, which he made a point of never allowing. That's very weird. I wonder what happened.

He was temporarily banned for a few days but his ban had been pretty quickly lifted so he is not banned any more. He may have found other interesting things to pass his time or may not have liked his temp ban or may come back to this board after sometime.....I don't know. He was not always the kind of poster as he got reputation toward the last of old IMDB. Initially, he was a pretty decent poster. An atheist and generally held reasonable opinions on issues such as racism, homosexuality, social inequality etc. etc. Yeah, he was pro-gun from the beginning but he was not frequently starting conversations on his pro-gun opinions.

So Lord Stark was a loser because he tried to save life of a boy? Because he was a good man who sacrificed his life for the sake of truth? Because he could have got out of the problems just by being a coward but chose to stick for truth and justice? How was Lord Stark a loser? Please enlighten me, Smith.

Breaking his promise to his sister and thereby lying in itself. Also, by endangering the life of the boy by leaking the secret.

1. He should have never made such a ridiculous promise to his sister 2. The boys life wasn’t in danger

Thanks for the info, max. He was one of a kind; it's kind of like Ada being gone.

You mean someone's only sister was dying and asked for one promise on her deathbed and he should have rejected it? The boys life would have been in danger had it been known that he was son of prince of previous ruling family and the lover of current king.

Should he have kept a promise to his dying sister that was irrational and non-sensical in contrast to being honorable to his wife and family who would have never snitched. Should he have kept a promise to his dying sister that was irrational and non-sensical in contrast to telling Jon who his mother and father was and especially prior to him joining the Wall. North was the most isolated kingdom and the Eddard we thought we knew would have never turned Jon over in the unlikely event anyone ever found out who he was. Face it. Ned sucks.

There is nothing irrational about a promise made to one's dying sister to saver her life. It's the human thing to do than reject a dying sister's request. Ned Rocks. You are welcome to your opinion that he sucks. But I look at him as a great man.
