....are to be congratulated for the schedule leading up to The Open.
The weeks leading up the the Main Event have included the French Open at Le National, a semi-links course, The Irish Open to be held in Donegal at Ballyliffin an acclaimed links course and the Scottish Open which will be played at Gullane, approx 50 miles (as the crow flies) south of Carnoustie on the easternmost edge of the Firth of Forth. The Open itself will be played at Carnoustie. The schedule cleverly gives all competitors some experience of links golf without detracting from the status of the events involved.

Yeah very good, love the links and more practise for the players should lead to better golf at the open.
