Like both but prefer Curb. Coming back to season 9 recently was like catching up with an old friend.

Curb.
there is something about larry that seems almost normal. many of the daily struggles that everyone else in the world gets away with [nonshalantly throwing an apple core in someone's garbage while walking down the street] he gets ripped a new one.
i cant stand louie. especially with the reality. 5 women are accusing him of weingartening and his disgusting and inappropriate jokes about his daughters.

CYE, so hilarious, and that damn theme music is the king of ear worms, if you get it in your brain, you're done for!

Curb. I've seen the first 8 seasons. I recently bought season 9 on DVD and still need to watch it.
Louie gets points for originality. It's like the anti-sitcom. But I stopped watching after a few seasons because it got so dreary and tried way too hard to not be funny.

Both are great. If forced to choose for no apparent reason. Curb

Anti-sitcom is a good description, there's definitely funny moments and some of the featured stand-up routines are very funny. A lot of Season 4 is practically a drama though. I haven't watched Season 5 yet, but I've heard it's a return to lighter, more overtly comical material.

I have to pick Louis because of how innovative he was but Curb is really very good.
