Sure they have some good songs and Freddie Mercury was a fantastic singer. But if you think about it was the band Queen really that good ?
Are they as fantastic that some people claim?

Freddie gets all the props but they were great musicians. Brian May is a criminally underrated guitarist. Personally, I could do without The Game and Hot Space, other than Under Pressure. Agree with the post before mine. Their set at Live Aid was beyond belief. I remember watching Radio Ga-Ga and just being flabbergasted.

No. To be fair, they were very distinctive, and made some tunes which managed to capture the public interest, but the vast majority of their recorded output was fucking horrible pomp-rock. And lets not forget they were all shitbag racists, willing to take the lumps of cash thrown at them for playing Sun City.
So here's Laibach doing Queen instead:
