Country music is my root, but I also love Alison Krauss and Union Station which of course is bluegrass music, I like a little bit of Hall and Oates and Lionel Richie who are soul singers, I like a little bit of Michael Jackson, Huey Lewis And The News, New Kids On The Block, Tears For Fears, the Beach Boys, the Rolling Stones, the Eagles, and the Beatles.
God bless you and those on my list who are still here always!!!

As wide as possible. There's really no music I dislike at this point. The only thing I have a problem with is a lack of variety. I don't want to listen to the same thing (the same songs, albums, artists, genres) all the time, no matter what it is.

As I've gotten older, my musical taste has expanded.

Fairly wide: I listen to rock, metal, blues, country, R & B, soul, and classical, for the most part. I'm not big on jazz, nor do I listen to very much rap or hip-hop.

Very narrow. I only listen to Gaelic music and folk music.

Narrow — I only listen to electronic music. Techno, trance, electro, IDM, jungle, drum & bass, psytrance, goa, modern classical, house, acid house, ambient — they’re the main genres I listen to.

Wide ranging of course, I could never limit myself to specific genres or decades. I'm never musically satisfied and am always finding new points of interest to add another 20+ bands/artists to my collection.

Wide--I like: Early 20s jazz bands Big band music of 1930s-1940s Classic American standards Vocal groups of the 1930s-1950s (Mills Bros., Ink Spots, Andrews Sisters, Boswell Sisters) Soft rock Bubble gum rock Classic rock Good disco (there is some) Doo-wop French cabaret music Italian standards Soul music 1960s-1970s Easy listening music 1950s-1970s Instrumental music 1950s-1960s Classical and light classical music Jazz accordion music and zydeco Broadway show tunes up to 1960s Hank Williams and Top-40 country songs 1950s-1970s Esquivel Spike Jones The occasional polka TV theme songs (yeah, I have a whole album of those--many were superior to the shows they came from) Good movie soundtracks (memorable stuff like the works of Nino Rota and the soundtrack to 1954's Gojira) That retro stuff like Leon Redbone, Brian Setzer, Pokey LaFarge and the Squirrel Nut Zippers
Dislikes: Opera (except for Figaro's Aria-doesn't everyone like that?) Overly pretentious, self-important rock music (particularly those from the 1960s-early '70s who take themselves way too seriously--they can all stick a bustle in their hedgerow and stay the hell away from me) Rap music (oxymoron) Heavy metal (the incoherent screams type) Modern country Anything--anything! by Madonna, Barbra Streisand, or Rod Stewart Pretty much anything in the last 15 or so years, especially if it's whined and breathed rather than sung

Dislikes: Heavy metal (the incoherent screams type) Heavy metal doesn’t have “incoherent screaming”, the vocals are clean and easy to decipher. Death metal, black metal and some other metal subgenres often have “incoherent screaming”, but not heavy metal.

I like everything apart from shoegaze, vaporwave, chiptune, (what is laughably known as) traditional metal... Why do you consider the term "traditional metal" laughable? I use the term as I consider it meaningful. In fact, the acronym NWOTHM for New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal is used pretty frequently. There's even an entire YouTube Channel devoted to it.

All I know is that it's some kind of metal with incoherent screaming.
