Italian horror film directed by Dario Argento. 8/10 from me. It's a very unique experience with beautiful use of colour in its visuals, some brutal violence and gore, and best of all, a mesmerizing score. However, it isn't perfect by any means, as the English dubbing doesn't match up that great, and it does drag on at points. But it's forgivable knowing this is a foreign flick so the non-English actors had to try their best, and when the crazy sh!t does happen, it hits home in all the right places. Overall, an unforgettable giallo of the wondrous decade of the 70's. Plus, the original poster artwork is a masterpiece of its own.

Visually, it's a fascinating, bizarre film, colors splashing all over the place. The score is very good, too, reminds me of The Exorcist. I don't think the film is as effective, or as good as some other contemporary horror films of that era but well worth watching. 8/10

4/10. Maggots and cackling hags are not scary. What about the rest of the film? Honestly, I was bored. I heard a lot about this leading up to it and got excited. The musical score and its use of color are commendable. But everything else, I was feeling 'meh' about. The trailer for the remake seems like the movie I expected with the original.

However, the remake's trailer looks fantastic.

Is this film as good as "The Exorcist"? Personally, I think it's better. Unpopular opinion, I know. The Exorcist is also good but a bit overrated. Suspiria was so unique and colorful and I loved the music.

Do you think it's better than Halloween (1978)? Hell no! I mean let's face it, as great as Suspiria is, it's still not a contender for Halloween. It's my favourite horror film.
