Swedish players look like they're on the way to draw their pensions. So slow, grizzled and leggy. I feel like they need some fresh impetus if they're to challenge this zesty English side, maybe bring their quickest player in from the bench.

Do Sweden know what the object of the game is? To put a ball in the back of the net? They're walking around seemingly without a clue. They pass the ball backwards as much as they try and move it forward. They don't do either particularly well.
I thought it'd be a passing exhibition until someone out there made a huge, embarrassing mistake.
Imagine my surprise when England scored from a nice header after a corner kick.
I hope these guys don't put me to sleep in the second half.

Shite game so far, despite some nice comic touches from the utterly useless Sterling, and a goal which was well taken if not elegant.

I saw most of the first half ob the (standard definition  ) TV in Wetherspoon's. When England scored, there was no noise in the pub - no cheers, no boos, no clapping, no raspberries. Most people weren't even looking at the TV! |

Hey, somebody woke Sweden up. Had a nice header on goal within a minute and a half to start the second half.
