There are almost no real conversations on some boards as they are plagued by a certain group of people: whiners. I have always wondered if whining gets people anywhere?
It's typically a type of character I would not associate with in real life, weak, unmanly and ...well annoyingly whiny.
So, does it work out?

i wish kids kicked the real raptor that way, or in even weirder places. So does raptor but for very different and disturbing reasons.

I know this thread is just a joke, a funny one too, but I figured I would state the obvious anyway. I believe Night of the Living Dead from 1968 may have been the first movie to truly feature a black hero. There are almost no real conversations on the Marvel, DC, or Star Wars boards. It's controlled by a certain group of people. Only approved topics: Marvel trashing, DC praising, prequel love-fests, and complaining about anything post-prequels. Try to talk about something outside of that and it will be hijacked. I agree completely and you nailed it, but I would say there is a fair amount of DC bashing too. And it seems to be a lot more acceptable by the majority (not counting trolls from either allegiance) to criticize the DCEU. I'm a fan of both, but prefer the MCU overall.

The DC movies are objectively worse, so it makes sense they would be criticized more.

There were Black heroes in movies long before that. No there wasn’t. I think when Taylor talks about movies, they don't have to have dinosaurs in them to have heroes.

I always thought it was Night of the Living Dead. That was good but not as good as kicking a raptor to its death.

I thought that was stupid even back when I first saw it in theaters at the age of seven.

When Jeff Goldblum’s daughter used gymnastics to kick a raptor to its death. Yeah, that kid was badass. Even Sarfraz Ahmed would be afraid of her.
Her character was not there in the novel.

Night of the Living Dead did it better in the 60s.

Night of the Living Dead did it better in the 60s. Wrong. That black guy died at the end.

When Jeff Goldblum’s daughter used gymnastics to kick a raptor to its death. I always thought Goldblum's daughter was an f.u. from Michael Crichton because they made him write a sequel. From what I understand, he didn't really want to do it, but relented when they said they'd have somebody else do it if he refused. So he wrote a so-so movie that turns into a cheap "King Kong/Godzilla rampaging through a city" ripoff, and for bonus wtf points threw in an inexplicably black daughter who attacks dinosaurs using gymnastics.

And ended up being the most kick-ass scene in the film and in black cinema to that point in time.

Yes, Poitier and Belafonte owe everything to Jurassic Park.
