Pros - The writing The acting The cinematography The breakfast and marriage montage The transition shot of the newspaper team now hired to work for Kane.
Cons - Doesn't live up to the hype of greatest of all time, despite being quite good. How did anyone hear Kane's dying words?
If you haven't already, I recommended listening to Roger Ebert's commentary available on the DVD and Blu-ray releases.

Pros:
Brilliant photography - they put on a masterclass and it's a joke that it didn't win the Oscar for it. Lots of great scenes with great dialogue The story of Kane's life is fascinating Inspiration for a cool White Stripes song
Cons: Tends to drag a bit Joseph Cotten's character is annoying Everyone knows the ending before they've seen the film The actress playing Susan isn't very good (but I did like a couple of her scenes)

Cons The cockatoo alarm clock. In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.
