Lebowskidoo 🎄😷🎄 This about that ^^^^^ Points for knowing what/who the first picture is referencing Buster Keaton, although I haven't seen the film and do not know the whole story.

Lebowskidoo 🎄😷🎄 First Keaton image is him making the smile that Lillian Gish forces (to avoid being punished) in Broken Blossoms. NOT a single laugh in that one

The Unknown (1927) Tod Browning In the Excellent silent drama Lon Chaney plays, Alonzo the Armless... A famous intensely emotional scene shows Alonzo breaking out into manic laughter, and for good reason quickly fades to devastation, switching to enraged... Burt Lancaster said of Chaney's portrayal of this scene in The Unknown “one of the most compelling and emotionally exhausting scenes I have ever seen an actor do...

THE TREASURE OF SIERRA MADRE --
Walter Huston and Tim Holt laughing hysterically when they realize that their hard-earned collection of gold has been blown back to the mountain.

Staroye i novoye , The General Line (1929) Soviet Union. Directed by Sergei Eisenstein & Grigori Aleksandrov. A celebration of the collectivization of agriculture , the progression from the outdated agrarian customs of the 19th-century, to the more mechanized innovative procedures of the 20th century, The cream separator scene is remarkable testament to the great directors for its depiction of collective joyful emotion...

Talk about co-incidence, I saw the thread title and immediately thought of posting the pic of Chaney Sr from the same movie but I see you already posted it.
Next best laugh that comes to my mind at present is Walter Huston's in the movie The Treasure of Sierra Madre.

One that I can recall but I could be wrong is James Mason's laughter at the end of 5 Fingers. I won't say the reason as it would be a plot spoiler but it was also a special laugh. I tried to find the pic but couldn't. For some reasons which I can't understand 5 Fingers is a kind of obscure movie and there are not many articles on net about it.
