I received a referral to a new out patient clinic for physical therapy. The new place is quite closer than the last place. (I live in Bum Fuck No Where) The only problem it's a hybrid physical therapy clinic and chiropractic center. If it's the same type of things I've been doing probably not a big deal. I just don't want a lot of hokum about subluxation, spirituality, aether, and vitalism. I just want to get back to walking effortlessly and my hands not to shake/go numb after holding a precision grip for more than 30m-1hour. Any opinions on them? My dad swore by them back in the day. He played Golf for 50+ years and ran into back problems. I don't know how much the chiropractors helped, but he seemed to think so. I know there has been a gradual shift from it's origins to more modern science based treatment. I just don't have enough info to make a decision. I guess I could always go back to previous clinic if I don't like the new one.

Couldn't say. Never heard anything especially bad about one or the practice in general.

I've been seeing one for 25 years, and she's done wonders for my lower back. She only wants me to come in as needed, I do know there are ones out there who tell patients they need to come in once a month, or week, or whatever, just to be able to bill them. I guess it's a crap shoot.

I've always assumed so... But I'm not basing that on any actual experience.
