He seems to have a new movie out every 3 months. And not supporting roles, all starring roles. There is a thing called overexposure.

Not really. Iβve never been one to get excited about Rock movies in the first place, so if I see them I see them and if not oh well.

He's one of the top paid stars.
You want him to slow down now?

He's one of the top paid stars. You want him to slow down now? Not if he vary projects a bit, do a drama or straight up comedy that is not as bad as baywatch.

They've all taken the money and ran, at some point

It seems like all the big budget marketed non comic book action man roles are going to him but its only because for the globalist studios diversity means less whites, especially in action authority roles.
I can imagine if someone showed one of these studio feebs an Errol Flynn, Stewart Granger, or Ron Ely film they would run out of the screening room in terror. I should really make a list of films that would trigger snowflake globalists.

why don't you have an avatar? My computer has a glitch so all images are shut off and I cant figure out how to fix it so if I must suffer with image deprivation I might as well share the digital disability with others where I can. This is an avatar-free zone for me. And if I could have an avatar I would probably fuss about the choice anyway.

Every movie The Rock has ever been in is garbage. He should be the new Schwarzenneger but Arnold was in A list movies.

Maybe the reason he hasn't had more of a diverse filmography is due to his lack of acting range, sticking to the same movies because they gross and pay well, etc.

He probably knows of his acting limitations so that's why he sticks to the same stuff regularly. Dwayne is a likable guy, but like with Arnold, he's more movie star than actor and isn't really someone capable of nuance or depth.

Actually his peak years were 2010 and 2013 with five releases each. And his next film is in 2019 so...no.

Let it be. Last thing I want is some bright idea someone let him chew scenery in the MCU.

He probably knows of his acting limitations so that's why he sticks to the same stuff regularly. Dwayne is a likable guy, but like with Arnold, he's more movie star than actor and isn't really someone capable of nuance or depth. Difference is that in his prime, Arnold made Terminators 1&2, Conan the Barbarian (hey, even Destroyer was OK), Predator, The Running Man, Commando, Total Recall, Last Action Hero and True Lies. Even his comedies like Twins and Kindergarten Cop (let's forget Junior) were big hits.
Aside from say, The Rundown, Faster and the more watchable Fast & Furious films, Johnson hasn't really made a film that holds up the way Arnold's best films do.
Arnold also managed to work with creative directors in their primes like Milius, Cameron, McTiernan, Verhoeven, Reitman, etc. and in each film, he was put in different situations/worlds with colorful supporting casts. Johnson is too heavily-involved in his films to the point where its all about making him the center of attention and taking away from the rest of the actors.

I feel like all of Johnson's films have become stale too. They all have the same predictable story arc - the brooding tough guy who reveals himself to have a heart of gold - and Johnson just plays a variation of his Rock persona.
Compare this to someone like Dave Bautista, who plays actual characters in his films, and Johnson really needs to change his creative teams. He should take a break from making so many movies and work on getting better directors and writers who can do something different with his screen persona.
