Only 2 games to go and this is the one that most people don't care about that much. Which country will end 3rd this WC? I'm predicting an easy win for Belgium. After Belgium's defeat most of the Belgian people and players were still proud and happy with what they achieved. England on the other hand seems to be mainly dissapointed and dispirited. I think Belgium atill wants to win the game and England just wants to go home and prepare for the next competition. Therefore I think Belgium will win.

Won't be watching this one. Most pointless match of the tournament.

I'll be re-watching England v Croatia with Croatian commentary instead of this meaningless testimonial.

In Ireland we leave a few comedians host the 3rd place game and its been fun so far. Right now the lads are showing clips of Hendersons passing and saying how similar it is to Modric's and saying Fellaini will have a great game today. 1-1

I’ve got money on 3-2 for Belgium, but that doesn’t seem likely

Southgate needs to do a Pacino-in-Any Given Sunday speech about now. This England team have suddenly shrunk to being, well, England again.
We can do better. But can we do better?

Is it just me, or is Harry Kane a bit shit?

Hmm... There's no question Belgium are a better side than we are.
Our boys ought to be soaking up every bit of this.

Should have been a Belgium - France final.

There's hardly been any interest for this, seems kinda pointless. Wasn't even on the BBC news this time.
England lost again but still it's been a enjoyable World Cup for us. I had no interest in the World Cup going into it, hardly felt like I was hearing about it actually but it's been enjoyable this time around.
I don't think I've ever enjoyed one as much actually. Probably won't happen again for decades though.

It was a match with little meaning. Still nice to see Belgium win, ofcourse There will always be a hint of doubt about this WC for Belgium, no matter the historic result. What if they didn’t beat England the first time and the roles were reversed? Would they have gone all the way then? Or failed against Croatia too?

It was honorable and decent to play the for group victory, but it was also stupid and against your own strategic interests. Germany - before the Löw - had sought to lose... A smart women who could be German: German h.c. prostitute / Scylla: Sporting?! I see, there is no money in it... Mnester, some Greek (who didn't fare well*): "You are here for the honor - women - and to defend your reputation." Scylla: "Would you defend yours for nothing, Greek?" "Lady, I'm a professional. I work for money. The honor I gladly leave to you." *

I thought it kicked off at 7pm BST. Sounds like I didn't miss much.

I’m not sure if it really changed much. Could Belgium have hold off thise Croatians? At least now Belgium had a near miraculous recovery against Japan, a beautiful and hard fought victory against Brasil and a double victory against England. It’s pretty legendary for us

I thought it kicked off at 7pm BST. Sounds like I didn't miss much. It was another friendly-like match. Fairly open and not half bad. England never seemed to really want to win and Belgium did well enough to beat them. The clean sheet might aid Courtois to be considered best goalie of the tournament, maybe not. He really didn’t have much to do.

Wales kicked us out in the QF last time, quite a scandal Kevin Debruyne already hinted at that. Most players will still be there, apart from Kompany most likely, so who knows. Most players should still be around at the next WC too, so again, who knows?
