• Chuck Bartowski - Chuck (2007 - 2012) - You gotta love this guy. He's so sweet and innocent, but also very good thinking on his feet. When he downloads a CIA/NSA computer in his brain, he has two people that protect him when going out on missions. He falls in love with one of them. Plus, he kinda reminds me of when I was younger and worked at a store repairing computers for a living.
• Richard Castle - Castle (2009 - 2015) - I know Nathan Fillion pretty much nails the parts he plays, but the Castle character stood out to me the most. The guy is a brilliant murder-mystery novelist. He follows a Detective around from the NYPD around to gather information for his books, and eventually falls in love with her. It's like they were a match made in heaven.
• Dr. Gregory House - House M.D. (2004 - 2012) - This was a tough choice, but House made the list. The guy is a genius and can solve pretty much every single medical problem. He can be funny at times, but you can't help feeling bad about his damaged leg. Also, the bromance between him and Dr. James Wilson is hilarious.

John Steed and Emma Peel from The Avengers
Archie Bunker (from All in the Family, of course!)
Those are my first thoughts off-hand; I may change the (already limited) list around a bit and add some honorable mentions later.
Knew I'd think of it soon: Columbo (from--well--uh--Columbo)! Now whom to bump from the list...
Ah, yes, Kramer from Seinfeld! Someone below mentioned him. Another example of "how could I forget that character?"
