Con - WAY too long. The whole blow up the bridge sequence should have been axed.

Pros - All that's been mentioned already, plus the numerous philosophical sayings in the film. Example: "When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk."

-the bridge scene
-Lee Van Cleef has never been more menacing.

Some specific things:
No believable motivation for anything in the movie
Stupid plot. It would be simpler to just rob a bank at that time than to go through all that death defying insanity for loot
None of the three were even one iota likable, which made the movie a ponderous ordeal to sane people who were dragged to the movie by the crackheads and dope fiends who no idea what they were watching, just that the idiots in the movie looked cool
Contrived in the usual Hollywood fashion to alienate the audience.
The Republican ideology of classic Greek beings who were demi gods who could only be killed by other demi gods, an ideology important to the mob and the establishment to keep the peons in their place, just as Homeric kings did.
