Why do so many hate basketball?
I get not liking the NBA, but basketball as a sport? I’ve always loved playing basketball. Easiest game to just pick up and go play.

Yeah, I like playing Basketball. Not a huge fan of watching it outside of the Olympics (much like Ice Hockey). I don’t quite get the hate - then again, I don’t quite get the hate the average American has for cricket. Doubly so, when they’ve barely given the game more than a cursory glance.
Any activity that involves a deliberate death at the end isn’t a ‘Sport’ either.

I don't get the hatred for basketball......I have seen posters who regularly show their dislike and their contempt for basketball. If I don't like a sport then I won't watch it. Why go on telling that you hate it? probably the NBA administrators have led to this hatred? But then cricket and football administrators are even worse people.
At this point of time basketball is my second favourite sport and in fact almost my favourite along with cricket. I just want to see less time-outs like in European basketball but irrespective of all NBA basketball still can be extremely exciting.

The only thing I can’t stand about basketball is the final few minutes of intentional fouling. Drags things out and hardly ever seems to matter. |
