I don't hate Disney as much as some but it's honestly time to start breaking up some of these potential monopolies. It's getting to be a bit much.

Cuz' those are a triumvirate of evil to top the Reich! Yes, Disney is more evil. Walmart doesn't try to have a monopoly by buying out Target or Kohl's. McDonald's doesn't try to have a monopoly by buying out Burger King or Jack in the Box. Starbucks doesn't try to have a monopoly by buying out Dunkin' Donuts or Peet's. Disney is trying to have a monopoly. Monopoly is a fun board game, but in the real world, monopolies in business are as detrimental and evil as dictators in politics. 1 politician shouldn't have so much power in politics and 1 company shouldn't have so much power in business.

They are on track to owning 30% of the market share of the film industry and that's without taking over Fox, one of their competitors. Any company with that much power and influence can only be evil.

You seriously do not not grasp how stupid/ironic this is do you. Disney is obtaining 21st Cenntury Fox - its film & TV production/distribution...and you claim that it gives Disney too much "power" Well at the moment it is owned by a company that owns or is the major shareholder of... 2 book publishers including Harper Collins 26 Australian newspapers 4 UK newspapers including The Sun and The Times Over 20 US newspapers including the New York Post Various other papers in other countries Over 20 magazines Fox News Radio Various radio stations in the UK Around 10 TV & Film studios 3 TV broadcasters in the US, as well as stations in the UK, Uruguay, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Georgia, Israel, Latvia, Austraia, Italy, New Zealand Satellite Television companies in UK (including Sky News), New Zealand, Italy Germany, India, Australia, Hong Kong, China Numerous cable channels in USA under The Fox name including Fox News, and many other not under the "Fox" banner All overseen and controlled by the Murdoch family...the head of which is a confident of the current POTUs, was credited for swinging a UK election and whose newspapers hacked the phones of many celebrities as well as innocent victims of crime including dead children. or it could be sold to Comcast. A major telecommunications company that also owns or is the major shareholder of... Numerous other communications companies NBC television Over 30 local US TV stations At least 6 news channels 9 Cable channels Universal Pictures, Amblin, Dreamworks, Focus Features, Carnival Films So why is the sale to Disney so bad when the options are is stays with the far more powerful and influntial organisation its currently part of, or makes another organisation larger and potentially more "powerful" In all honesty you don't care do you. It's just your weird hate for MCU and therefore Disney makes you feel like you have to complain. Personally I only care because a) it means Marvel finally owns all it's properties and b) its a reduction of the Murdoch families holdings.

Fox doesn't try to have a monopoly by buying out other book publishers, newspapers, radio stations, and cable channels. Disney is trying to have a monopoly, which will put about 10,000 people out of work.

Personally I only care because a) it means Marvel finally owns all it's properties So you MCU fans don't care that Disney is going to put about 10,000 people out of work as long MCU gets the X-Men and Fantastic Four. Got it.

Got it. Comcast would have put more people out of work than Disney had they been able to acquire 21FC. A heavy post-deal debt load and multiple redundancies across both enterprises would have seen to that.
