Well, I must be the oldest woman on the board, because my first crushes were James Arness (Matt Dillon) and Robert Stack (Elliot Ness). My parents took me on a train trip to Chicago, and I was seriously pissed when none of the people at the station were dressed like that, and the cars weren't the same as Elliot Ness and his fellow agents drove. I had a hard time with understanding that TV wasn't reality. I bet I have you beat in the age department, because here are some of my early crushes: Kerwin Mathews (in a non-swashbuckler) Richard Chamberlain George Maharis Richard Todd I'm stopping at crushes I developed before my teens, because after that, well--they wouldn't exactly be "early" crushes...would they? The only one of the above actors who has remained a constant favorite of mine up to and including this very day, and after his death, is the last one shown, Richard Todd. He was a genuine hero as a paratrooper during WW II (in fact, in The Longest Day, he portrayed his own commanding officer!) and in 1993 was awarded the OBE (Order of the British Empire). More germane to his movie career was the Best Actor Oscar nomination he received for The Hasty Heart.

I was obsessed with Sandy Duncan for a while in the early 70's. Also had a thing for Ruth Buzzi, and Olivia Newton John pre-"Grease."

He was a handsome fellow; probably why my parents didn't let me watch that show very often. I was culturally deprived as a child; my parents kind of kept me wrapped in cotton batting, LOL! I didn't get to see any movies before I was 16, unless they were being played on television, and had the official okey-dokey from the folks. Well, I am told that I saw "Bambi" as a child, but had a major meltdown, and was deemed 'too sensitive' to go to the movies again, until I saw 'The Sound of Music'.

My celebrity crush, from back when I was a kid, was Kirk Cameron.
