I would only get mad if they hated for ridiculous reasons. But I generally respect that we all have our own opinions and that you can't please everyone.

I don't get mad, just disappointed.

Not really.
If people I know liked and disliked all the same movies as me THEN I would get annoyed. I would lose my subjectivity and then talking about movies would become extremely boring.

That feeling of "BUT IT'S SO GOOD!!!" It can be frustrating. Until you take into account that they think that same thing when they love a movie that you dislike. It becomes absurdly hypocritical.

Not really but I think we all like to have stuff in common with others we talk to in person. so I guess I hope that there would be some stuff in common otherwise it will be harder to talk to the person, not because they are different, but if you have very little to nothing in common, it's just going to be that much less likely you will want to be around that person in general. so I think just about everyone wants to have at least some stuff in common be it movies or music or other random things in life. because if you and the other person tend to see things too differently from each other, chances are you just are not on the same page and will likely go your own ways. but I guess in terms of movies... I would have to assume I have at least some in common with some people I know personally even though it's safe to assume we won't agree on everything. but I kind of assume that's very unlikely you would stumble into someone who's taste in movies is almost exactly the same. like there is 187 movies I score a 7/10 or higher and, assuming the other person I am talking to is not easily pleased (and the like), chances are it's unlikely we would agree on a large portion of what movies 'stand out' from the pack even though it's still possible to have some. but I guess someone could simply take a quick look through 'My Favorite Movies' and that should give them a pretty good picture of my overall taste in movies to see whether we are somewhat on the same page or not. also, I would expect to have more movies in common with people than music because in terms of music I think I am generally even more picky on what ill go out of my way to listen to then movies ill go out of my way to re-watch. so naturally, that lowers the chances of me having something in common with a random person on music. but with that said... most music is not bad, but in the end if I won't go out of my way to listen to it... it's mostly forgettable. moviemouthAgreed as that's a good way of putting it. but at the same time I get his general point of it 'being soo good etc' as some movies we tend to be a bit more passionate about and if someone dislikes too many of those kinds of movies you can somewhat start to take things a little personally even though you should not. I think that's especially true in many younger types of people, say teens or 20's, as they tend to be a bit more reactionary (like become a little aggressive towards the person, especially online) if someone dislikes something they like to a higher degree etc. like it becomes easy for someone(like those younger types) to start flinging insults to the other person if they dis one of their favorite movies etc.

I don't really care about what opinions other people have on that. Just no reason for people to get insulting about it or make it personal.

No. I do get annoyed if they pretend to like it when they clearly don't. Just be honest

Most of my friends like the same music I like and have discovered a lot of artists and bands they didn't know about before 'cause of me letting them hear their songs but no, I don't get mad when they don't like some of my favs 'cause everybody has their own unique tastes in music and doesn't like the same artists and bands. I don't like Pop, Death Metal, Rap and Techno but have nothing against people who do.

Like James Bond, I would tend to be more disappointed than mad...unless they had an attitude (or words) that clearly said, "Wow, are you some kind of weirdo? How can you possibly like this junk?" Then I would be not only mad, but hurt. However, I can't imagine any of my friends or family members being that insensitive and unkind (not to mention tasteless ), so the whole issue is pretty much academic.

Probably. I've compressed it down to a dense ball of perfectly contained resentment. It may explode some day.
