Back in the day, yeah I'd say so. The metal bikini certainly helps.

Back in the day, yeah I'd say so. The metal bikini certainly helps. No it doesn't. Not at all. I've never understood the attraction with this. What is so attractive about a piece of hard, cold metal on a woman? A bikini needs to be soft and made of fabric so you can actually see and feel the shape of the boobs. Same reason why women in plate armor or other hard pre-shapened materials, such as something Wonder Woman or Batgirl would wear are stupid. Basically you're finding a piece of metal hot.

When she was very young, yes, but as she aged, strangely, and her personality began to show through, she lost her appeal. It wasn't just a "looks" thing. There was a hard, wounded quality to her after a while. She came to turn me off as a human being, especially in interviews.

Deciding whether one is hot is very subjected. Would the basis of just being pretty also be considered hot? Or cute? Or both? Face to body? Or either of one? Or are both needed to be considered "hot"? How attractive must one be to cross the threshold of being considered "hot"? Or determining the "sexiness" quotient. For example I have never thought of Pamela Anderson of being hot or that much attractive either but tons of people think otherwise. I have never gotten to know what is her appeal to the masses. At the same time when people were jumping on the Kathy Ireland train, I was ogling at another S.I. model Stacy Williams instead. To me she was way more appealing and sexier than Kathy.
On the subject of Carrie Fisher, yeah she is very attractive in her youth. Naturally attractive in that she doesn't need makeup to look pretty. Also even sexy (not including slave Leia) after seeing nearly 700 images of her in the 1970s and early 1980s from photo shoots, public events, private life, and behind the scenes on Stars Wars sets. So given the wide variety of public's opinion of what "hot" is than I Carrie Fisher was hot. Too me she in her youth is on par as say Kristen Bell is today; really pretty, cute, short and petite. I mean for crying out loud, people think Fergie (singer) is hot even though I think she has kinda has a buttaface.

As a young lady, she was very pretty.
As a middle-aged lady, she maintained her physical looks but also started to develop more of a personality.
As an older lady, she still looked fine, but she definitely came into her own with her personality.
I liked her throughout her life, but for different reasons at different times.

she did a lot of HOLLYWOOD to her body and that did cost her some gorgeous points. but she was quite stunning in all the star wars 'original' movies. [okay, she looked a little hokey in the second movie but that wasn't her fault. that stupid hoth planet was nothing but ice]
she wore no bra in a new hope.
