Probably not all that different from baseball on the radio.

I love radio baseball (but I'm biased, as I love baseball in all forms). But there's something, I dunno, intangibly wonderful about listening to baseball during the day, while sitting outside in the pool, drinking a beer or taking care of the yard. It has this great, throw-backy type feel that I just love.
Unless I'm listening to the Mets. Then it just extracts your soul and pisses all over it.
I can't say I've ever listened to golf on the radio. The only time I ever watched golf on TV was during work hours and I needed an excuse to go sit with a colleague at a bar. I really need to get into playing it though. I get invited to client outings all summer long. I'll go to once per summer, embarrass myself and then falsely claim that I'm going to take lessons and become proficient at it.
