Not much. Just little things like trying to help people out when I can. To do real good you need to have lots of money.

They burn Catman's garbage to make energy.

I cannot agree with the last sentence, though. Wasn't it Gandalf who said it is the small acts of kindness rather than great ones that keep the evil forces at bay? I think it was him. That makes a lot of sense to me actually.

But that's in Middle-Earth where there's presumably far more decent people living and based on the assumption that it is many people doing that are doing small acts of kindness, which collectively makes the difference. But in our Earth, if it's just me, you and a few others committing good acts, then not much will change in the world unfortunately. In my experience, most people don't seem to care about others unfortunately.

Cool that you understand the dynamics of the concept, though. But you seem a cynic like myself. I say that not as a bad thing. A cynic has no faith in humanity and humanity is all about greed these days. Please do not confuse that with pessimism. I think it will all get better even though a lot is getting worse at the moment. The world rights itself. To me, the future looks good. Just not the immediate future.

Mostly odd things, helping like, here and there as it might be.

Mostly odd things, helping like, here and there as it might be. Mostly same here, although the other day I had a "no good deed goes unpunished" moment. It strikes me as strange but true that sometimes one is likely to get the most flak for doing precisely the right thing, or trying to, while doing nothing and going with the flow is just fine. Not all the time, for sure, but often. Too often.

When I’m walking my dogs, if I see litter on the ground and it’s bin night, I’ll dispose of it in a neighbour’s curbside bin.
I’m fit, don’t smoke or drink, and I don’t ever get sick, so I’m not a burden on taxpayer-funded medical facilities.
