What if it turns out he DID attend NAMBLA meetings? What if it turns out he is/was a child molester?
As of right now (7/23/18) I believe him when he says he didn't "live those actions" or however he phrased it. I believe he thought he was being provocatively funny. Though I don't defend his horrible humor, it's still just jokes.
But as much as I am defending him now, if it turns out he IS guilty of such disgusting things, then I will do a serious about face and condemn him as strongly as I possibly can.

If it came out that he's an actual member then he'll have to move in with Polanski. |

I doubt anybody will continue to back him if it's revealed he's a child molester. I'd certainly hope not.
Though in the age of #metoo, I think we'd start seeing the allegations of abuse piling in by now. It's not like people aren't frantically searching for them.

They all stood up and applauded him when he got an Oscar, even knowing he drugged and raped a young girl. As far as I'm concerned they're all scumbabs, regardless if Cosby and Weinstein kicked him out (assuming that is true and if it is holyshit the irony!) Fucking Tarantino even defended Polanski at one point, claiming that she wasn't raped, she wanted it. Honestly I really want Hollywood to burn. Oh I stated that funky. I meant when Typhoon Cosby and Weinstein finally crashed the Academy finally ousted Polanski too. Now I can to a point separate Art from the Artist, but fuck defending the artists actions. Like I will still be able to watch Usual Suspects with 1 admitted sexual assaulter (Spacey) and 1 accused sexual assaulter (Singer). I will be able to still say it's a good film, but I couldn't defend the peoples actions. I can't support their continued creation. (especially the admitted one). I hate that we have to make these calls now, but it's worse that I've supported people that could do this. And not to make it about us because their victims should be the focus not on whether the a Victimizer taints a movie or not. |

actually any reasonable person asks this question, a sane person does not engage in dozens of child rape and sex phantasies. Many of the jokes (GUNN deleted most of the content) seem not that jokey but sincere, and he had exchanges with convicted pedophile pornographers. A few excerpts:

An admission is absolute, 100% confirmation that yes, absolutely, something did indeed happen. What Spacey said wasn't an "admission". It was a half-assed, "oh, maybe I did, maybe I didn't, IF I did, I'm sorry and by the way, I'm gay, like y'all didn't know that already." Let's not call that an "admission". He did not 100% confirm that he assaulted Rapp so therefore he admitted to nothing. Do I believe he assaulted Rapp? Of course I do. Ya'd have to be an idiot not to. But an admission is a concrete, direct statement of fact. That half-assed, panicky bullshit was no admission. |
