I went with Psycho. But it's honestly a toss up between this and Aliens for me. The Exorcist and Nightmare on Elm Street are good. I also favored The Shining and Jaws.

I voted for Psycho. John Carpenter's Halloween was influenced by Psycho.
I love Alien and The Thing, but those are as much science fiction as they are horror.
