Whenever the WWE messes up (which seems to be happening on nightly basis these days), I really really wish that WWE Fans would do more than just boo. It clearly doesn't work anymore!
What they should do is what the fans in WCW used to do and that is throw objects into the ring or they could do what ECW fans sometimes did and that is to (on a large united scale) chant foul language at certain stars. That would definitely put the Top People in the WWE (Vince McMahon, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon) back against the ropes. Especially if it happened on a consistent basis and it should because booing just isn't the right way to go anymore. What does everyone else think ?

Throw chairs in the ring. The Fans at "WRESTLEMANIA 33" should do that if Roman Reigns beats The Undertaker. The WWE would most definitely get that message loud & clear!

I really believe that tv ratings and ppv buyrates are the only thing they listen to. Otherwise they look at it like "ahh these are just a bunch of stupid smarks that doesn't represent the entire fanbase"

Fans are leaving. The money being spent by the hardcore fans is increasing.

No matter what, the fans have no right to do anything that could injure a wrestler or someone else at ringside.

I mean, you could always just stop watching. Their point is that one person not watching will not send a message to them and nothing will change.

Something like that would have to involve a MASSIVE amount (in the high hundreds) of people. Remember when Batista won the "ROYAL RUMBLE" a few years ago (when it should have been Daniel Bryan who wasn't even in it) and hundreds of fans responded by booing and unsubscribing from the WWE Network. That finally put everything over the top and sent the WWE into panic mode and they caved in to it as a result.

Fans are leaving. The money being spent by the hardcore fans is increasing. Yep. It's becoming more "niche" and they're super-serving the audience they (still) have with a deluge of content. This, combined with their reliance on part-time stars during WrestleMania season, has them headed for serious trouble in the next three to five years in terms of both sustaining their financials for shareholders and acquiring new viewers for their television product and -- they hope -- network subscribers.

That's interesting. I didn't know they were headed for any real trouble.

That's interesting. I didn't know they were headed for any real trouble. They're not, necessarily. Those are just red flags. They can mitigate these issues by continuing to expand to new markets, particularly China, and either de-emphasize part-timers to the extent where you're not building the bulk of your big match Mania card around them or bring back more "recent" ones as the current crop of Taker/Goldberg/HHH/Brock age out. So, like, a super-part-time Cena, Cody Rhodes, maybe a returning Dolph Ziggler in a few years, ideally CM Punk but probably not, the Hardys... There aren't as many big names, but they can build them into key roles if they're not tasked with carrying the entire show. The other thing WWE needs to do is stop the bleeding in terms of their television ratings. They're shedding viewers at a race outpacing the general slide away from cable, and this is a serious problem in and of itself when it comes time to renew their deal with NBC Universal/Comcast because TV revenue accounts for a large percentage (I think like a third?) of their annual revenue in terms of the way the company is currently constituted.

Thanks for that info. You really know your stuff. I'm so far removed from the product I hadn't kept up with what's going on. I've heard people say that they're just not getting enough new viewers. Spiraling downward after the attitude era I guess? I remember at that time it became cool to be a fan and so many people that weren't fans before became fans. But then after that era winded down a couple of years later, those same fans left just as fast. They probably thought that would just keep continuing for years to come

If fans REALLY want to make an impact with todays WWE they need to stay silent when a guy like Roman Reigns or John Cena comes out. The WWE keeps pitching how those guys get a reaction no matter what. Simple answer...don't boo them even though you want to. It simply doesn't work. They want a reaction and they're getting it.
I honestly would of LOVED it had people just walked out in the masses during the HHH/Reigns main event last year. You want to make a difference? That sure as hell would do it. Won't happen sadly as people pay high ticket prices and want to stay for the end of the show.
Truth is, WWE doesn't really care about wrestling when it comes to WrestleMania. They want to generate a bigger buy rate (which makes sense) but you gotta at least give a couple matches to the real die hard fans. The Shawn Michaels matches always gave us real fans that. You knew damn well that match was gonna deliver match of the night. They don't attempt to do that anymore. Not like there will ever be another Shawn Michaels but damn it, we could of had Finn Balor vs AJ Styles.
Outside of Balor vs Joe getting added to the card...I'm skipping it.

the Aries vs Neville match is the only match that really can steal this show. Sad thing is it's for a belt that nobody really gives a shit about.
Jericho vs Owens the storyline is there but a lot of people lost interest when Owens lost to Goldberg.

This is the answer, but like you rightly say it's unlikely to happen. The Mania walkout would've been the most effective because Mania has become the time of year the McMahons invite shareholders to come view the event and sit in luxury boxes while the rank-and-file fans are pretty much glorified props and the matches themselves are filler to space out the various infomercials, PR ads, Make-a-Wish commercials, and other sundry corporate crap they're selling to the brass.

I mean, you could always just stop watching. Their point is that one person not watching will not send a message to them and nothing will change. If everyone that whined about wrestling and then claims they will stop watching actually kept to their word, it would make an impact. Nobody ever means a word of it though. Besides, my original point wasn't about sending a message to WWE. If I don't like the way a fictional TV show is going, I stop watching it. I never have to deal with it anymore. If I don't like the way a book I am reading is going, I stop reading it. It's such a waste of time and energy to constantly get on the internet and bitch about something that you choose to watch each week.

Someone does, because WWE has been bleeding viewers for years at a race that outpaces that which people are "cutting the cord." So...
