A sort of diversion from frogs' thread (solid thread, btw), what is the single most exciting play you ever witnessed in person?
For me, it was Endy Chavez's catch in Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS where he absolutely robbed Scott Rolen of a 2-run HR and then doubled off Jim Edmonds at first. Holy jumping jesus, they always talked about Shea Stadium 'rocking,' literally rocking back and forth because the fans were going crazy, and this was the only time I ever felt it:

Probably James Rodriguez's goal for Colombia against Uruguay in the round-of-16 match in World Cup 2014 in Rio. I think it was eventually picked as the goal of the tournament.

Excitement doesn't have to be positive, I guess, so for me it might have been the final play in that ridiculous collapse by the Giants to the Eagles when they just let Philly score 28 points in the 4th quarter for no good reason. The game ended with a brutal walk off punt return when the Giants punter (for just that season) somehow couldn't put the ball out of bounds and kicked it right to DeSean Jackson and the entire Giants punt team all seemed to have seizures at the same time and just let him waltz past them and into the end zone.
It was brutal, but had to be exciting for the opponent's fans, and for fans of the sport that didn't care who won.

Matt Assclown Dodge was the punter's name (I guess it's still his name). This was back when I was into football. It was during my busy season, working weekends throughout December, so I had DVRed the game, ignored the internet, then got home around 7 or so to eat dinner, sit back and enjoy a classic division rivalry. All my friends, loyal to a fault, know to not text me spoilers about the games so I had heard nothing about the game at all. I was all smiles when the Giants were up by a comfortable margin. Man, that 4th quarter.....probably the worst 4th quarter I've ever seen from the Giants outside of blowing the divisional playoff game in SF.

vlad guerrero scoring on a sac fly....from 2nd base.
and the rf didn't mess up, good catch, good relay throw, on a deep ball to the rf/cf gap.
most of the crowd wasn't paying attention, nor was, most funnily, the home plate ump, eric gregg, that huge ump; well, his huge fat ass had turned towards center as he bent down to dust off home plate, and here comes vladdy rounding 3rd---coming home...he had to step back like towards the pitcher so as to not block the play. lol.

Exciting, you might call it that. The most notable play anyway.
Don't watch if you faint at the sight of blood
We were a decent ways away. Seen Malarchuk go down and we thought he got the heel of the skate on his Adam's Apple. You could hear screams coming from that end of the ice. Real screams. Wasn't until Malarchuk got off the ice that we noticed the blood on the ice. A lot of people didn't realize how razor sharp a hockey skate is.

First thing I thought of was this play by Randall Cunningham on Monday Night Football against the Giants. Also the last Eagles game I've seen in person.

I was at Canada's first hockey game in Vancouver 2010. Them taking the ice as we blew the roof off the place qualifies for me.
Blowing out Norway, Iginla hat trick, it was never a close game.
