I'm leaving out Robert Bresson, my 2nd favorite director, only because he didn't make too many movies. Since we only could pick one, Kurosawa, John Huston, Cassavetes, Kazan were left off. I'm a big Bresson fan too. He's not exactly prolific, but I love the world he's created across all his films. Who's your #1? |

Vittorio De Sica is my favorite.. He's made sooooo many great movies. Heck of an actor, too!
