when ever Disney does a live action movie based on a book do you think warner brothers should make the same movie but tell the real story like they are doing with the jungle book ? I would love to see a new version of Beauty and the beast based on the actual book. Disney can make the kiddy version of the movie and warner brothers can make the mature grown up version.

They could if they wanted..well only public domain books/stories. But why? Is there some sort of war specifically between these two studios we don't know about?

AND Fox, Universal, Sony, Paramount, Lionsgate versus Disney, because with the exception of Universal for the better part of 2015, the rest of Hollywood hasn't really competed with Disney since December of that year. |

Disney's live action movies based on books seem to be very popular right now . Disney's version of beauty and the beast has made 150 opening weekend. The problem is that Disney doesn't want to stay true to the book. I would just like a big budget movie that stays true to the book and not the kiddy version that Disney wants to make.

If one studio gets successful and rich at making certain types of movies, you can be sure other studios will follow suit.

should idk, disney has 6 too many properties for most people to catch up with, pixar, disney live action, disney animation, marvel, star wars, indiana jones.

I've read the original Beauty and the Beast and was less than impressed with it. I'll take "kiddie" Disney version any day, because at least that version actually has The Beast undergo things we like to call character development and personal change. The book just has him already a nice guy (and glosses the fact that he forced Belle's father to give her to him) and then spends the whole book seducing the women he's taken prisoner while Stockholm sets in. Yeah... REEEEAL mature. |
