Even the worst episodes, except for the finale were still pretty good I think. I liked The Finale, except that they didn't let Bookman do his bit. I didn't like The Puerto Rican Day Parade, and the first episode.

Many of the early episodes where pretty bad. It took some time for the show to get good i think. I mean season 1 is pretty bad and thankfully only have 5 episodes. Season 2 is hit and miss. But with season 3 it starts to get really good I agree. I'd say the only really good episodes in the first two seasons are The Chinese Restaurant and the one with Elaine's dad. After that, I like pretty much every episode except the clip shows and the finale. The Puerto Rican Day Parade is a little weak as well. I very much dislike The Chinese Restaurant episode.

Probably a few from the later seasons when Larry David stopped being involved. Other than the finale, The Chronicle (Season 9, Episodes 21 & 22) is pointless. Maybe it has something to do with my hatred of clip shows, but I didn't find it necessary back then since we owned VCRs. Plus, Seinfeld was always shown in reruns so it's not as if everybody could possibly forget what happened prior. I love clip shows. And the cast got paid like they were new episodes.

The Finale The Invitations The Bris Oh man, I love The Bris. The Mohle should have been brought back in a later episode as a butcher.

Listen, I'm a VERY BIG Seinfeld fan. But when I was watching it, I was not being entertained, possibly because in Manhattan there are 2 Chinese restaurant every block. I was getting frustrated that they were WAITING. Go the fuck someplace else. I didn't view it as a DEFING SHOW. I viewed it as a show.

When I said defining, I meant the show going forward was piggybacking off of the everyday mundanity and humor of that episode. The Chinese Restaurant is when Seinfeld became "the show about nothing". It's fine if you don't like it. Hell, it's not one I rewatch a lot myself. I'm just saying I respect the impact it had on the show.

I don't know about the worst. But I think my favorites are "The Soup Nazi" and the one where Jerry had a girlfriend who liked baby affection talk. And that drove everyone especially George crazy. It ended with Jerry and George baby talking their girlfriends in some kind of affection contest in the diner.
"You're my sloppy. No, you're my sloopy, boopy, whoopy . . . "

The pilot was one of the weaker episodes, but 99% of Seinfeld is pure gold. Gold I tell you.

I call myself a fervent Seinfeld fan. While someone who says as such might fail to even pick one out as the worst, I have no qualms in saying that "The Susie" (from season 8) is clearly substandard. I liked it The scene where George waits for the message from Allison- that's the best part.

I like 'The Susie' because it allowed Elaine to do some great comedic acting, and Jerry's line at the funeral to the woman who thought Elaine was Susie.....
"You Know, I slept with her".
And Jacopo delivered perfectly, and his story told a lot about who he really was.

"The Secretary" from Season 6. Just seemed kind outlandish even for Seinfeld that Kramer would sell his clothes to Bania, then end up stuck in a changing room with no clothes.

Yeah, I think that was the episode where Kramer got Uma Thurman's phone number, and smeared it with his moisturizer cream. Eventually, when a character gets too stupid, you begin to lose interest.

The finale was pretty bad, except for Puddy showing up in court in the 8-ball jacket, and Mr. Costanza interrupting Mrs. Costanza's hysterics by reminding her they needed to beat the traffic. I liked The Finale, except that they didn't let Bookman do his bit. In the finale, we see the main characters' parents and the rabbi praying (because of the trial).
