It usually gets to the point where I decide to throw them out, and I skim read them before I do so.

I have a very bad case of the tsundokus too - and an even worse one for whatever the equivalent is for movies and TV shows!

And clothing.
Although I've been better about actually using and enjoying things after going through extensive de-cluttering this year.

I should probably stop buying books. For a while i have calculated that it i read one book a week it will take me almost 20 years to read all the books i have that i have not read. Some eight or ten years ago I started recording on a spreadsheet every book I buy and every book I read. Since then I have bought 239 books but only read 43 of them - that's paper books only. I have also bought 26 e-books, of which I've read 14, and I've read 51 books that I borrowed from family, friends, or the library.
One of these days I will enter on my spreadsheet all the books that I already had before I started keeping track. There's probably at least three hundred.

I can't stay to a regular reading schedule. I alternate between reading a few books in a short space of time, and going months without picking up a single one.
