i'm predicting a hoskins bomb to take the lead next inning - then i'm going to bed  *** Edit - I take my prediction back  get some coffee---we are going to extras!! this has a feel of a playoff game. and even if it went 2 more innings---it would be shorter than a yanks & sox 9 inning game!  |

Sox have an off day tomorrow. guess they're giving him two days rest before the Yankees. phils looking impressive like a vet club playing at fenway up 2-0 into the 6th.... anybody else enjoying these games? or am i being a homer again? albeit low scoring - they've been two tight games. i don't need a lightshow in baseball to entertain me (although I enjoyed it circa 2008 with Howard, Utley, Rollins, Chooch, Werth, Victorino, etc - I'm fine with a pitching duel where the game is on the in the ninth - you're pretty much hanging onto every pitch. anybody mind a Red Sox - Phillies World Series - I'd love it. |

@screamingtreefrogs TheGoodMan19 another intense sox & phils game tonight---playoff level. very impressed the Braves have stayed pace with the Phils and the Nats don't really appear to be falling off the face of the earth - always hovering around 5.5 / 6 GB last I check - been a couple of days though..... hopefully it's a very fun September ahead. need to recheck the Phils schedule - if memory serves - last series of the season is against the Braves (I may need to double check that) |

The weight of expectation will hit this team when the playoffs start. Quite possible to win 113 games and get bounced in the first round. Whoever they face, they won't be a slouch, be it Cleveland, New York, Houston, Oakland or even Seattle.
