Do you think it's childish to believe in God? Yes. Part of us wants to stay in that child-like world where grownups make all the hard decisions and we are just told what to do. It's easier than doing the hard stuff yourself. It's understandable - sometimes I wish I could go back to that world of certainty, where all I had to do was follow the rules. But surviving in the real world requires problem-solving skills. If one just follows the rules of others, then one is letting others rule that one's reality, often for their own purposes. The price of child-like belief and certainty in that belief comes at the cost of having a life of your own. But obviously, many people prefer it. Perhaps that is the reason religion seems to be enjoying a revival - parents aren't teaching their kids problem-solving skills.

Do you think its childish to believe in God There is definitely such a thing as childish faith in god. That however does not mean all faith in religion or a god is childish. The belief that there is no god and the denial of all evidence of god is also very childish, usually even less sophisticated. Some people require simple answers. It would be great if we could give children simple answers since they obviously need them. It can save them from costly retesting of tradition. Most well established religions provide traditions that at least create a dialectic for the examination of civilized attitudes about many issues in life that science cannot begin to address. Atheists can be obviously inept at joining the conversation as a result of their childish demand for simplicity.

Do you think its childish to believe in God No. I think it's irrational, but many adults are irrational. Maybe even all.

Truly I say to you whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child shall never enter it.

Do you think its childish to believe in God I think that's a strange and incomplete query.

It might depend on reasons for believing. But it is mostly about following customs and traditions.

In less developed countries you might follow religion because of social pressure. In such cases we might say society as a whole is childish. Some people may follow religion because of positive personal spiritual experiences it may bring to them. In that case we will be childish to make a claim that people believing in god are childish. That's why I said it depends upon case. If a person has personal spiritual experiences then the god she believes in is not without proof for that person. This black man called Mooji who is from Jamaica and lives in India and has followers from all over the world brings forward a case where depressed and sad people became happy after believing in self/atma/god. Who cares if there is any self/god/soul or not. These people are better off so it wouldn't be right to call them childish.

Who cares if there is any self/god/soul or not. I do. Yeah, there may be a few people who do. That said 'who cares' that I use is strictly not in literal sense.
It's more in line with dictionary meaning as listed below.
"who cares? used for saying that you do not think something is important and that you are not worried about it" I am personally an apatheist and simply not interested in knowing or proving existence or non-existence of god. God is more of a non-issue for me personally. That said I can see how other people can mind believers if actions of believers can shape laws of countries around the world.

Believing in deities depicted by Abrahamic religions is childish, no different from believing in imaginary friends. What about believing in deities as they are depicted in Non Abrahamic religions?

No of course not. But you didn't say which God you're talking about. Zeus? Thor? Ra? The Christian God?
Regardless of which one you mean, no it's not childish. It's just how it is. If you were born in a time and place where you're family and pretty much everyone was a believer or it was considered normal to be, then that can't really be helped I guess. For example old people today who are originally from religious backgrounds. They are just doing what they have known to be normal in their lifetime, even if all their son/daughters, grandsons/granddaughters are non-believers. They were just happened to be born in a time when more information was available and less indoctrination was going on.
