240/9. from 86/6. i think most indian fans who started with the 1992 world would have become alcoholics by now.

"Sam Curran is the leading run scorer for Eng in this test series with 225 runs follow by J Bairstow with 212 !! pretty much sums up the Eng batting performance this series ! Kudos to Sam Curran!!!"

zzzzz! aj getting drunk somewhere and laughing cynically. haha...I just woke up.
Curran the new sensation who has literally won the game for England. But seriously Indians have done such a thing on so many occasions. Indian collapse is absolutely written tomorrow!

1. This top 4 are killing me. Two bowlers both outscored them COMBINED. 2. Look Jennings, we can't be playing 10 against 12, son. 3. Glad to be wrong on my prediction about Ali. 4. Curran, get in there, my son! 5. Decent recovery from utter shambles of yet another 4 down for <100. They're probably still light, but it could have been a lot worse. 6. As noted above, a long tail is nice but shouldn't be consistently relied upon to resurrect the innings. The top four simply have to pull their weight.

I am not one of those who go on immediate fire him bandwagon but the reflexes of Cook have deteriorated. If you play him still he may get odd good innings but that will come at cost of lots of failure. It's time Cook himself declares his retirement.
Root is having just a temporary bad phase. Form is temporary, class is permanent. However, Sam's great return once again shows Root is a bad captain.
England just need two openers.

Look, first morning of a Test you have to accept that wickets are going to fall. England’s problem is that 3,4,5 for not many is a recurring theme. It also happens in 2nd Innings just as often. I get the feeling though that England just don’t have anyone left to pick to shore up the batting. Going through county scores, everyone getting runs isn’t eligible for England.

I'm not seeing the reason why wickets would fall on the first morning? Not if the openers did their job right. Just saw Jennings' dismissal, what a horror show that was. He's utterly lost. But there are two parts of the common theme: what we've got isn't good enough, and the cupboard is bare.

do you think 246 is enough? india needs to bat for the next 2 days. though i doubt they'll survive today with these bunch of IPL flat track bullies. anyway, this is so damn depressing. im so done with this indian team man. from 86/6 to nearly 250. i would have been happy if it was around 200.

Might depend a bit on clouds. The thing is India could be 62-0 and still end up 188 all out.
Kohli is due for bad one. The whole team revolves around him as did pre-Dravid/Laxman team revolved around Sachin. If sun is out and England drop catches then India could get some score. India need 75 runs lead for the match to stay in balance.
