I only really agree with dumping someone like Malan if there is someone knocking the door down. There isn't. You're just bringing in someone else who will contribute the same, if not less than, the man they dropped and in 9 or 10 months he's back in and you create a merry go round. I must admit Malan could have done what Pope's given us. |

This has both pros and cons. They have different approach to batting. They want to bat at @5 runs per over. Not good when it is cloudy. Too many aggressive batsmen in England now than in 90s when they would score 200 runs a day. India seems to be in dominant position as of now. |

Jesus Christ this thread is depressing. It’s either Poms or Indians whinging about how crap their respective teams are.
Both sides have obvious problems in the Test arena.
England are lacking genuine top order talent. It’s Cook and Root, and not much else. The rest are handy cricketers but are bits and pieces guys.
I don’t understand the selection of Buttler at 7. Pick 6 Bats, 1 keeper, 4 bowlers. Every great side has followed that formula.
India : It’s the same thing that has plagued them for years. Lions at home, Kittens away, plus they seemingly cannot get consistent performances across games now, let alone whole series. The only genuine consistent performer they have is Kohli. The bloke is a total bell end, but my god can he bat...
