Had a family of woodchucks here for a while. It was fun watching the babies climbing around in a tower of those cement blocks with the holes and tunnels in them. REALLY CUTE. Until it was discovered that when they were not out and playing in their jungle gym that they had dug under the garage floor (the one with the electric heat tapes io keep it warm in winter) and the floor was sinking and cracking... it cost $1500 to get the floor re-floated by the cement fix-it guy. NOW when the woodchuck ma and pa turn up they get hava-hearted and transported elsewhere before the babies arrive, cute tho' they are. awwwwwwwww !

sweet! I miss that kind of thing no longer living in the country or where wildlife hangs about [my parents house backs onto a golf course with a lake and ducks and egrets]. they even had an alligator!
ehhh… then one day I woke up to scratching in the kitchen window and to my shock there was a squirrel gnawing at the rubber stoppers at the end of the window [that keeps the seal when you shut it]. its my fire escape and I like to keep that window open at least a crack. how do you suppose he got up on the fourth floor? how did he get to the back of the building where no trees are?? haven't a clue.
why did he return? the assholes above me or above them thought he was cute and were feeding him -- I know because there were bread crusts and things lying on MY fire escape level and I didn't put them there! dumb shits.

He climbed up the side of the building … no trees needed. maybe. its just weird because there is no 'hole' from the street to the center of the buildings. five buildings connected side by side down 50th street, five buildings connected side by side down 51st street. that and the fact that the people above me thought he was 'cute'.

deembastilleyou are making no sense .. he climbed up the building .. no mystery in that ! You mentioned a "fire escape" … like stairs ? Ladder ? something that goes from floor to floor for the whole building ? Brick building or wooden.. they can climb anything and will ! Food or no food they explore !

Yeah stairs going from floor to floor. Brick building facade. It is hard to explain the back of my building. There is no way for someone from the street to get access to the center blacktop which is the roof of the garage. I just never experienced a squirrel ever doing that even in the countrywith trees near the buildings to help. And the food was the reason he kept on coming back until the super got wind of it (I didn't say anything about it). I heard him yelling at them to stop feeding him. If I never make any sense then why not just put me on ignore? Seems better than to harass me however gently.

deembastille you are obviously not well acquainted with squirrels.
ot RE: If I never make any sense then why not just put me on ignore? Seems better than to harass me however gently.
If you think I am harassing you, put me on ignore !
you translated "You are making no sense" (referring to the squirrels) to "If I never make any sense ." Your choice. Your mindset. Not my problem.
Have a nice day,

did you know ? There are no differences between a groundhog and a woodchuck. Both names are used to refer to the same animal. In some parts of the world, groundhogs are known as "whistle-pigs" and "land-beavers." of course you did … Catman 猫的主人
