I got scared. I thought it got deleted altogether. i got confused initially but I find it a very good job to put ICB among more active boards. ICB was odd man out in "around the world" category with other 3 boards getting not many views. The "movies" category is the premium category of boards and most visible. ICB is one of the most active boards for now and given the number of ICBians who have migrated and are committed to keeping it active even in the long run it is very fitting to put it in limelight. |

Maybe just put all games into the "Trivia and Quiz Games" board? All the games in the "other" section are still pretty on topic with film and TV and it will make things easier to find. Just a suggestion |

Sure, whatever works best for you. I think there were a total of 4 types of game boards in the Trivia category. I think just lumping them all together works best. There's a few dedicated people in some of the threads, but I don't think it's going to be out of control. I like the idea of it being easy to find |

Fantasy (which you've dropped off the list completely, yet is an incredibly popular category) should maybe be put with sci-fi. Make it "Sci-fi and Fantasy" (a lot of sci-fi is actually sci-fantasy anyway). And maybe stick monsters into a co-category?
And you might want to take a look at how long our Buffy/Angel thread is getting. It's bigger than many of the fandoms here that have their own sections. I know, I know, broken record. A more expansive Jossverse section would span discussion of Buffy, Angel, Firefly/Serenity, Dollhouse and other things.
Another idea would be to make the Star Wars section into a general Lucasfilm one (it's very much a family of properties), which would allow discussion of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, American Graffiti, etc... to go under that category.

I'm not a huge fan of bulky threads when there can be separate categories for each active show/movie. Also a lot of the unpopular forums can be eliminated as well.

Well, for what it's worth, I'm AGIN it! For instance, the Classical Music board isn't likely to be all that "popular." (Gee...imagine that.) But to get rid of it? What is this...a politically correct board? Must I delete my account the very day I register it? Is this to be creeping IMDb disease all over again???

I thought it had been removed from the forum completely. And why does Martial Arts get its own section, whereas Fantasy got thrown in with other genres? And it sucks that the Genre section wound up all the way down near the bottom of the forum. I think it should at least be above the General Boards. |

I'm just trying to clean up the home page a little bit. Some people think it's too long and cluttered with too many boards and some think it should be longer and have more boards. My intention is to meet somewhere in the middle without veering too far away from the original IMDb layout. I understand that not everyone will be happy with however it is, but all I can do about that is apologize to the ones who don't like it and accept their resignations from IMD2. Nobody was forced to come here and nobody is being forced or begged to stay. For now, I'm only basing my decisions regarding the placement of the boards on the popularity and activity of them both here and on IMDb but I'm always open to suggestions and if there are enough people who want certain boards in certain places, I'm happy to oblige as nothing is being necessarily changed permanently.
