Out of any previous decade. Robocop, total recall, Vacation, it, independance day resurgence. And many more. It doesn't bother me though.

Independence Day Resurgence is a sequel though. I don't think Vacation was really a remake.

Regardless it's a pretty bad decade for film so far. Most of the films will be forgotten...

All remakes are pointless even the good remakes are pointless.

At least the best film of the 2000s was "There Will Be Blood"
What a modern Masterpiece.
It was full of crappy movies, but some of the greatest films of all time came out of that decade.
"No Country For Old Men" "Lost in Translation" Even the best CBM "The Dark Knight"
But this decade is a dumpster fire. "The Wolf of Wall Street" is probably the best film.

Independence Day Resurgence is a sequel though. I don't think Vacation was really a remake. It’s a sequel if anything. Rusty now the protagonist and Clark and Helen (is it Helen?) making cameos.

Wait two more years then they'll start remaking the superhero films.

Wait two more years then they'll start remaking the superhero films. They already do with Spider-Man Batman Superman and the Hulk...and Fantastic Four. And Darwdevil kinda....and XMen, sorta.

This decade will go down as the limp noodle of decades, artistically speaking. Movies, at least, have been better than the music.

I file it under "soft reboot". Anyway, nothing compares to last decade where any and every horror movie had to be remade by a glossy music video director. We finally eased up on that after 2010.
