Do you believe anybody in it? The lawyer is the only one really. I believed the family. In the 1980s, America went through a catch-the-child-molesters phase (not unlike the catch-the-sexual-harasser phase we're seeing today), and a lot of innocent people went to jail for molestastions that later were proven to be untrue (due to over-ambitious prosecutors, alleged victims who were too little to understand what they were being asked, etc). The crazy irony is that Arnold Freeman most likely was a child molester, but did nothing to the kids he was actually charged with molesting. One person in the documentary said it best: He was the right guy, but it was for the wrong crime. The tragedy is that Arnold's son went to jail, and I believe he was innocent.
