I think every scandal is distantly behind the Penn State / Sandusky stuff. Michigan State comes closest followed by Louisville I guess.

I mean, isn't it obvious? I say this as a Penn State guy all around. But yeah, it's totally Penn State. Literally dozens of boys got fucked in the ass. Doesn't get more scandalous than that. Now, I do think Joe Pa got treated unfairly for his actions, but the scandal itself was clearly the biggest

Marco’s most famous and most desirable trophy was named for Jerry Sandusky. I think you have your answer.

It just reminds me of the one prestigious honor in my board career that has eluded me. You talk about the Lombardi trophy in front of Marino, too? Insensitive Jerk!

You think you’re the only one who missed out on the Sandusky? I blame schlacko. He was the freaking Tom Brady of Sanduskys. Without him, the board would have had true parity.

I agree. I think there should be an asterisk next to his name on account of him deflating his balls 7-8 times a day BTW, I have something better than a Sandusky. I am the only poster who marco openly acknowledged blocking. I was too much for the biggest troll to handle.

That people pay attention to college sports! Nick Saban will make $35.6 million between 2018 & 2021. That angle is my response for the thread. It coincides with Joe Pa being paid so much to turn blind eye. Of course he deserved to take a fall.

Penn State (I'm a grad and I was never in the shower but I did meet that fuck) always wore the white hat. "Penn State does thing the right way!" "Penn State is not like these other crooked programs" "Penn State never has a scandal and never will". Yeah, they saved it all up for one big one. And it fucked all the fans/alumni who took pride in "We are...Penn State" Oh yeah. Please stay Beardy, we need smart posters.

The 1950's point shaving scandal. It was huge. It would be like Duke, Villanova, Michigan State today shaving points. The NYC schools were huge in CBB. CCNY, Long Island University, Manhattan, NYU. All crap now. The only big NYC school that didn't shave was St. John's. coincidentally, the only relevant program in the City now. Bradley University never recovered. Only Kentucky is still relevant.

Duke Lacrosse was pretty big. But the athletes were falsely accused. I think that makes it more scandalous. The way the public, media, politicians had these guys as guilty and wanted them to be guilty without knowing the whole story. A lot of people could have had their careers ruined but were able to walk away as if nothing happened.

Baylor has a few as well. Absolutely. Having one player kill another one and then having the head coach lie about the deceased, saying he was a drug dealer, is pretty despicable. Cover up after cover up after cover up for Dave Bliss:

The way the public, media, politicians had these guys as guilty and wanted them to be guilty without knowing the whole story. A lot of people could have had their careers ruined but were able to walk away as if nothing happened. Jackie MacMullan wrote a horrible article (which I can't find) titled "We Know". Basically, she called the Duke players guilty, called then out for protesting their innocence and demanded they confess. It was vile, but if fits right into today's "guilty until proven innocent" times.
