I think that makes it more scandalous. The way the public, media, politicians had these guys as guilty and wanted them to be guilty without knowing the whole story. A lot of people could have had their careers ruined but were able to walk away as if nothing happened. Jackie MacMullan wrote a horrible article (which I can't find) titled "We Know". Basically, she called the Duke players guilty, called then out for protesting their innocence and demanded they confess. It was vile, but if fits right into today's "guilty until proven innocent" times. Sounds like one of the many who was able to walk away unscathed without any recourse.

Maybe it's a different article but the article "We Know" was written by Ruth Sheehan of the Raleigh News & Observer.

I would say Penn St is the worst scandal ever, children were being raped for decades and loads of people knew about it and were too cowardly to do anything, despite all their talk about Penn St being such an upstanding program. And to top it off, the Penn St fans still act like Paterno was the victim in all of it, disgusting.
What happened at Baylor under Art Briles doesnβt get enough attention

You think youβre the only one who missed out on the Sandusky? I blame schlacko. He was the freaking Tom Brady of Sanduskys. Without him, the board would have had true parity. I agree. I think there should be an asterisk next to his name on account of him deflating his balls 7-8 times a day BTW, I have something better than a Sandusky. I am the only poster who marco openly acknowledged blocking. I was too much for the biggest troll to handle. You DID get under his skin and that wasn't easy to do. Some were easy to rile, Bo Sux Fool, DeNiro, but not marco. Are you going to stay and stir this drink? Thought maybe you just come in for a quickie, left your money on the dresser and left us in a puddle of goo. Oh yeah. Stick around, we need smart posters.

I mean, isn't it obvious? I say this as a Penn State guy all around. But yeah, it's totally Penn State. Literally dozens of boys got fucked in the ass. Doesn't get more scandalous than that. Now, I do think Joe Pa got treated unfairly for his actions, but the scandal itself was clearly the biggest too obvious. this below, truly insidious! clock didn't start when the oregon st. guy touched it!

It's a scandal that they keep up this pretense of amateurism, which is about as effective as Don Quixote tilting at windmills. Pay them.

And to top it off, the Penn St fans still act like Paterno was the victim in all of it, disgusting. That is disgusting. But not surprising because some fandoms are just despicable. For example, Patriots' fans. They continue to defend the cheating Patriots even after the Patriots got caught cheating in SpyGate and Shady Brady got caught cheating in DeflateGate and Julian PEDelman got caught using PEDs. Also, MCU fans. Thousands of MCU fans signed an online petition demanding that Disney re-hire Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn after Disney fired the scumbag pedophile Gunn for posting hundreds of tweets about how he enjoys raping children. That is just despicable!

That people pay attention to college sports! It never ceases to amuse me how much dirt stupid people hate college sports. It's even funnier than when those same morons bitterly claim "I could have gone to college but I decided I would rather work."

I'll bypass the fact all you do is repeat verbatim whatever the liberal manta is for everything you prattle on about. I have no problem with paying the kids as long as they pay for everything just like other students do. Also they pay for all the trainers, nutritionists, tutoring, use of the facilities etc... that gets them ready for a career in professional sports IN ADDITION to the career the previously free degree does.
