Marvin Lewis could be the lead in a remake of The Untouchables.

here's an interesting thought - and i'm rooting for him - love the guy - but rumor has it - he's well in over his head and is 'out of touch' - what about the 'other Gruden' with the Raiders?
i get the enormous contract - what if he can't relate to todays players and they finish an abysmal 3-13 in last place and are an embarrassment?
rooting for Chucky though.......

I'm going with Hue Jackson. He could get Cleveland to the playoffs and the retards in control would say "Yeah, that was a decent season, but we wanna take the team in a new direction, so we are hiring this alchoholic drifter with narcolepsy"

I think we'll know very quickly if it's going to be a disaster. Raiders have traditionally been pretty quick with the head coach firings. That contract is HUGE though. The only way it happens is if Mark Davis thinks that it would hurt the Las Vegas move. Not negotiating with Khalil Mack isn't a great start . . .

Gotta go with Hue. The Brownies start out 0-6, 0-7, he's got to go. The expectation of the Cleveland fan has diminished, but there's only so much you can take until you think of better things to do on a Sunday afternoon.

You might be right, but until I see it happen, he's up there with Teflon Don in my book.

That team, despite a black hole at QB, was too talented to go 0-16. They weren't playoff caliber, but I think should have won a least 4 games. Historically, they had much more talent than the 2008 Lions and the expansion Buccaneers. Those teams deserved an "o-fer". The Browns didn't. But you can't support a coach with a 1-47 or 2-46 record.

If I could have split my vote between Hue Jackson and Jason Garrett I would have. I played the odds and chose Jackson because he should have already have been fired. Garrett won’t survive if the Cowboys struggle this year, Jerry will finally start acting like Jerry and fire him.

Jason Garrett has been a terrible coach since day one and is still there. Same with Marvin Lewis. It seems these guys can swim below mediocrity for the rest of their tenures and nothing will happen.

I’ll go with Dirk Koetter, I think he’s a lock to get fired. The Bucs have one of the NFL’s worst defenses, a one dimensional offense, Winston is suspended for 3 games and I’m not sure whether he is good enough to be a franchise QB, and they are in a division with 3 very good teams, all of whom made the playoffs last season.
Hue Jackson will likely get fired, but the Browns will be much improved this season IMO and he survived 0-16, so he could last another year IMO.

Marvin Lewis could be the lead in a remake of The Untouchables. I will keep saying this: as long as Mike Brown is the Bengals owner, Lewis won't be fired. As Dan Fouts and whoever yapped about "going out on a high note" last December 31 after the 4th and 12 TD, I knew better.

If he does where will the dynamic duo of Koetter and Mike Smith end up next and which one will be the head coach?

Jackson because what on earth can he impress upon young players.
