Europe
The US is A-OK with violence, but sex? Oh my God a nipple!!! It's the end of Western Civilization as we know it!

The poll is pointless because since many in here don't acknowledge the religious angle when it comes to sex then naturally they will like Europe more because it's a bit more 'open' on the topic of sex etc. basically those who don't follow Jesus Christ won't see the whole lust angle problem with sex being more out in the open etc. that's why many in the USA (primarily us conservatives) are a bit more sensitive with it. sure, I realize with internet porn etc is everywhere and all (which is bad, but it's not going to stop as there are too many people making too much money and it takes advantage of the common persons sexual desire) but the internet has only been around 20 years tops on a mainstream level and movies with general nudity I would say pretty much started in the early 1970's (I know technically it was before that but from what I have observed it was pretty much the early 1970's on forward when nudity in movies was out in the open as before that time nudity was more obscure). Spike Del ReyThis is exactly what I mean (in my comments above your quote) as I see this is a typical point for those who think the violence is worse than the sex in movies. but... almost no one is going to just go out and shoot a bunch of people by seeing violence in movies where as with the whole sex stuff in movies can, and often will, incite lust within someone and God is against impure thoughts and sex outside of marriage etc. so in terms of sinning... the common person will sin through some form of the sexual desire and not through violence. that's basically why many say the sex stuff in movies is worse than the violence for the common person. but since many around here don't believe in God, it's not surprising many will default to what you said and we will continue to hear that said again and again as the years pass. p.s. Our Lady of Fatima (i.e. Mary (who's the mother of God)) said to Jacinta (one of the three kids at Fatima), "The sins which cause most souls to go to Hell are the sins of the flesh.".

Definitely Europe. America is WAY too prudish when it comes to sex and nudity but have no problem having violence, blood and guts all over the screen. America has also been one of the main countries that has pushed double standards when it comes to men and women having sex and has long portrayed men who have multiple partners as studs but women as sluts and whores.

What is your definition of better? There's far less guilt and social hangups in Europe, but I'm not a fan of people who dismiss others as uptight or less evolved because they don't share your views; which is often the case of Europeans or people who answered Europe.
