Normally to see Western releases I have to wait for them to come to the streets of Chad in the form of black market DVDs. However, this weekend I was on a diplomatic trip to a Western country and after our official business was completed the other head of state said to me "Hey, do you want to go see Christopher Robin with me?" I could not pass up such an opportunity and said yes. This is exactly the same thing that happened to me last week with Mission Impossible Fallout. How fortunate for me!
I must say I did not know who these Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh individuals were prior to seeing the film. They do not live in Chad. I kept asking cinemagoers around me as the movie was starting if it was the same thing as Toy Story, but they kept shushing me. I was very confused.
Nonetheless, I eventually enjoyed the film. That Tigger individual seemed very high energy and like a Chad. I could tell from his walk and assertive body language. Much respect for Tigger. He's the only one!
Although Pooh was not very Chad-like I still thought he was a pleasant individual. If he came to Chad I would invite him to dinner and give him a big honeypot.
Overall it was a good film and I recommend it. I will not be banning it in Chad like the foolish Chinese did.
