So far it's been alright. I'm getting a bit fed up with the Mike storyline though, it's beginning to strangle itself. The Gus/Meth lab screation scenes really aren't necessary either, I mean that scene with Hector could have been lifted from Season 4 of Breaking Bad, they've added nothing to what we already know about Gus. It's feel like padding now.

It's feel like padding now. I watched the first two, it didn't really grab me. In fact, I'm not sure I recall much of what happened, other than some obsession on Chuck's demise, which I expected. Maybe I'll try again. PS: I never expected "Breaking Bad, Reduex". If I recall correctly, Saul never TRULY "Broke Bad", and neither did Jesse, in the original. Oh yea, they were up to their eyeballs in BS, but usually on account of BRAIN MAN, Walter. So, if this story 'precedes' "BB", we should eventually wind up with a shifty, slick talking money making weasel, and a cowardly one at that.

The only thing really keeping me interested is what happens to Kim, how does she leave Jimmy's life before "Breaking Bad" and how devastating will it be for him
But I'm not happy with what they have done with her. Now suddenly she's developing a social conscience and doesn't want to work for banks any more. She'd rather defend juvenile delinquents and prevent them from becoming serious criminals. Where did that come from? What a tired trope. I liked her as a female who was successful in business law, not a SJW.
Kim knows Jimmy is more than a bit slimy, she participated in a scam with him once for fun. I expect newly minted Saint Kim to drift apart from Jimmy as he goes to the opposite side. I don't think she'll die, they'll just break up.

I think she's starting to 'break up' with Jimmy now, just on account she senses he's not being honest with her.

I love the whole story about the meth lab being built. It's something you didn't really think about in BrBa but imagine the time and expense Gus put into this.

RIP Better Call Saul
First they ruined Game of Thrones and now this. After consistently great episode after great episode for seasons, I had faith in them that the quality will remain, but then we get this shit. What the hell?
Apparently Vince Gilligan said he took a back seat in the writers room for this season. I assumed he was just being humble but I guess it's actually true. I would have at least thought they'd run by their ideas with him first before going ahead with them, because I refuse to believe he'd be okay with the crap they gave us this week.
Easily the worst episode of BCS and BB combined.

The writers are fascinated by complex operations and logistics. My favorite was when they did one long tracking shot of DEA inspectors at the border handling traffic from Mexico. The shot lasted about five minutes and panned over a large area of activity and you got an idea of the complexity of the situation.
